No Stamping for me today.

Published by zindorf at 5:35 am under Uncategorized

Sadly, there is no time for stamping today.  A quick ditty this morning is all I have time for. . . .. . .

A lady and her co-workers go to a bar after a hard days work to unwind.  As she is sitting there the most gorgeous man she has ever seen walked in.  She couldn’t help but take little glances at him out of the corner of her eye.  Much to her disbelief he walked over to her and said “for twenty dollars I’ll do any thing you ask me to do”.  She thought for a moment, reached down and got a twenty out of her purse and said “Clean my house”, lol.

That’s how I’m feeling today.  Much to do in way of housework.  We are having a birthday party for my Grand Daughter this weekend and I have a messy house to get ready for company.

There are so many comments on yesterday’s post, I’m so very amazed!  I would love to know where everyone is from.  Give me a shout out today by commenting on this post telling me were you live.  I’ll start by telling you I’m from West Alexandria, Ohio.

If you are getting my blog updates by e-mail and you want to comment, please click this link to take you to my blog:   http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2008/07/17/no-stamping-for-me-today/

Don’t forget to stop by tomorrow, Friday, I will be announcing the winner of yesterday’s blog candy.

May your day be a peaceful and relaxing one.

Until my next post.. . . . . . .

Hugs,

Michelle

Hello Michelle~ I boarded the Zindorf wagon train from Bridgton, Maine! We always seem like the last State to hear about anything and everything and the last to receive the same, so it’s sweet to follow you and be inspired by your work and pass on techniques to others here, from your part of the world..lol! Oh, BTW, I used to live in Ohio–Akron, to be exact! I worked at a Bob Evans while living there! It changed my life, well, their Biscuits and Gravy DID!!! LOL–I tried and tried for years to master their gravy AND the biscuits! Finally, I did it!! I now can sit back and make cards inspired by you and have Bob Evans’ bisuits and gravy! NICE!!!

I was in my LSS and I was looking at some stamps and this lady says,”Look a brayer… I need that!!” and her friend says… “You can buy one… but good luck making it look like Zindorf’s!”

HAA!!! I told them I am a die hard fan as well and we had a good chat about your amazing talents and told a few others about your bolg as well…Thanks for sharing your tutorials and keeping the local brayer sellers in business!!!

The secret to a clean house is ………do all your stamping in a studio with a door. Someone comes……shut the door and pretend there’s nothing behind it. I’m in the heart of Central Texas, San Marcos/Wimberely area. Commute to New Braunfels to work three days a week. If y’all are ever in the neighborhood, stop by or at least give us a holler (phone call for you non-Texans).

Happy Birthday to your Granddaughter. Is she the one who will receive the beautiful dress card?

A messy house is the sign of a creative mind. I like the close the door option. I’m from sunny and hot Mesa, Arizona. These are the days where we crank the AC, stay inside and play away in the studio.

Good morning, from used to be sunny Northern California. We only seen the sun twice in the last 25 days due to all the smoke from the 2000 fires that have been burning since June 21st. Yesterday was beautiful, so there was hope for total clearing, but today is very smoky again. I don’t know why that happens.

I’m originally from Anaheim, CA (Disneyland), but have lived in Oroville California for the better part of my life.

Anyway, Thanks for the daily (almost ; - ) tutorials. They have helped me immensly in my creativity (which does not come naturally!).

    Hello Michelle,

I hate housework with a passion, but when it is done, it makes it worth every minute I spent on it. I also have not been able to stamp or craft for a couple of days. I had items in a living room, a bedroom and a basement. I now have a great room for all my supplies with the exception of a 8 foot x 4 foot peg board that holds all my paper. I have been arranging and organizing my GREAT new room.

I check your blog every single day and sometimes, 2 or 3 times a day. I get your emails when they are sent out.

    I am from Denver, Colo. I am married with 3 children (12, 9 & 5 yrs). 2 boys and 1 girl.

Thank you for everything that you share. God Bless you and have a wonderful day.

But in addition to all that - I’ve had a kick reading where everyone is from - WOW. About half way through, I realized it was a lot like a beauty contest - “Hi, I’m Jane Doe from Dallas, TX and I want world peace (so I can have more time to stamp)” LOL - Oh guess I should say “Hi, I’m Elaine from Vancouver, WA”
Thx for all you do - you’ve taught me so much!

    Hi Michelle,

I’m a Kiwi (like the new card colour) so that’s why my spelling is strange! I live in Invercargill New Zealand (which I understand is the southernmost city in the world), and visit your blog every day. It’s winter here just now, and where I live, in the south, it only gets up to a maximum of about 10 degress Celcius each day, and maybe down to minus 2 or 3 degrees Celcius over night. We’re in a time zone ahead of most of your other fans - so it’s 7.30 on Friday morning for me as I’m sending this comment your way. I’ve been stamping for quite a few years now, and enjoying learning to stamp ‘the Zindorff way’. Thank you for all your tutorials Michelle, as you can see, there are a lot of us who really appreciate what you do. Happy Birthday to your grand-daughter and enjoy the party.

    Anne

I just hate it when work gets in the way of “playing”. I just had one glorious week of vacation in which I stayed home, got up when I wanted to, went to bed when I wanted to and did whatevery I wanted in-between (translate…..creating cards and paper crafting). What fun! I hope you have many days/weeks like the one I just enjoyed.

I love that joke! Sounds like a great idea to me!
I’m living in Nova Scotia, Canada right now, but we are very soon packing up and returning to my homeland of New Zealand. After 14 years we are going back…can’t wait!
Our house is for sale now(which is why that joke appealed to me so much!), and once that sells (anyone wanna make an offer?! LOL!), we’ll be off, hopefully no later than September. I have my school reunion to go to at the end of October, so I have to be there for that!

Kia ora to Judy and Sharlene in New Plymouth, and Anne in Invercargill! I’m going to live in Dunedin (next city up from Invercargill). We’ll be neighbours!

See, you really are appreciated. You’re Good! Have a great birthday party for your Granddaughter. I don’t like housecleaning either. I hire it done every other week because I can. When I retire or if gas keeps going up, I guess that will stop. Hugs

Hi, I’m from Australia and I think I mentioned in my yesterday’s post, that I live on 130 acres with NO visible neighbours = yippee! I love the absolute peace and quiet we have. We used to run sheep but now only have Clydesdale harness horses and Belgians.
I don’t see anyone from one day to the next (other than my husband!) and it can be two weeks before I go into town, which is about 30 minutes away.
We are about 1-1/2 hours from Melbourne.
We see many kangaroos and where we lived before, quite a few wombats and echidnas.
    Cheers for now, Valda

Hello from Little Rock, Arkansas ….

When I was old enough to share the heavy duty housework chores in my pre-teens and teens .. my Mom and I would write all our chores on pieces of paper and then we would each draw them one at a time. Sort of like a suprise to see what you got! Of course, some chores had to be done before others .. so we would just fold them back up and draw again …

I am now in my late 40’s and to this day I hate housework! As I look across the room .. I see a little pile of folded pieces of paper with chores …. not quite as fun when it is just you do the chores .. but it is a little suprise on what you are going to do next …

Just thought I would share ….

    Absolutely LOVE your blog!

    Hugs,
    Kimberly
