No Stamping for me today.
Sadly, there is no time for stamping today. A quick ditty this morning is all I have time for. . . .. . .
A lady and her co-workers go to a bar after a hard days work to unwind. As she is sitting there the most gorgeous man she has ever seen walked in. She couldn’t help but take little glances at him out of the corner of her eye. Much to her disbelief he walked over to her and said “for twenty dollars I’ll do any thing you ask me to do”. She thought for a moment, reached down and got a twenty out of her purse and said “Clean my house”, lol.
That’s how I’m feeling today. Much to do in way of housework. We are having a birthday party for my Grand Daughter this weekend and I have a messy house to get ready for company.
There are so many comments on yesterday’s post, I’m so very amazed! I would love to know where everyone is from. Give me a shout out today by commenting on this post telling me were you live. I’ll start by telling you I’m from West Alexandria, Ohio.
If you are getting my blog updates by e-mail and you want to comment, please click this link to take you to my blog: http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2008/07/17/no-stamping-for-me-today/
Don’t forget to stop by tomorrow, Friday, I will be announcing the winner of yesterday’s blog candy.
May your day be a peaceful and relaxing one.
Until my next post.. . . . . . .
Hugs,
Michelle

Hello Michelle~ I boarded the Zindorf wagon train from Bridgton, Maine! We always seem like the last State to hear about anything and everything and the last to receive the same, so it’s sweet to follow you and be inspired by your work and pass on techniques to others here, from your part of the world..lol! Oh, BTW, I used to live in Ohio–Akron, to be exact! I worked at a Bob Evans while living there! It changed my life, well, their Biscuits and Gravy DID!!! LOL–I tried and tried for years to master their gravy AND the biscuits! Finally, I did it!! I now can sit back and make cards inspired by you and have Bob Evans’ bisuits and gravy! NICE!!!
Housework? What’s that? I visit you daily from Grandville, Michigan. Thanks for your continued inspiration!

The secret to a clean house is ………do all your stamping in a studio with a door. Someone comes……shut the door and pretend there’s nothing behind it. I’m in the heart of Central Texas, San Marcos/Wimberely area. Commute to New Braunfels to work three days a week. If y’all are ever in the neighborhood, stop by or at least give us a holler (phone call for you non-Texans).
Happy Birthday to your Granddaughter. Is she the one who will receive the beautiful dress card?
Always check your blog every morning if possible. I am from Calgary, Alberta Canada.
Peaceful and restful.. hmmm more like busy and fast with fun in the mix! lol I am a SAHM from Long Island,NY who LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVES your blog
I’d come all the way from Austin, TX to help with the housework for one of your tutes! You are a fabulous teacher!
I’ve been babysitting this past week for a friend (at her house) and my own house is a mess! I sure would pay that guy to clean my house too!
I have stacks of stuff everywhere getting ready for your workshop out here in California in a few weeks. Just waiting for the rubber stamps to arrive, which is the last thing on the supply list.

Hi Michelle,
Down here in beautiful deep southwest Virginia on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains, I am trying to learn to use my brayer, sponges and Versamark the way you do, but it never quite looks as good….either too much or not enough!
Happy birthday to your granddaughter!
Michelle,
I’m reading and enjoying your blog from Broomfield, CO, a Denver suburb. I’m learning so much from your fantastic tutorials. Thanks so much,

Hi Michelle,
I am enjoying seeing that you have fans from all over the world! I am checking in from Grand Rapids, in northern Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes. This morning I snapped pictures of a pair of loons with two downy babies. Thanks for all you do for us!
Hi Michelle,
I live in Boston. Love your blog. Thanks for all the time and energy you put into your tutorials. No one would want to see what I’d create at 4am!
The best thing we ever did when we bought our house was to hire a cleaning person. We love her. We tend to have dinner parties on Friday because we know the house is clean
I’m in Woodstock, GA.
Hi, Michelle! I’m from NE Ohio, where it’s going to be hot and muggy today while we make hay! I realy appreciate the time and effort you put into your tutorials. THANK YOU!

Ugh! Feeling your pain. Hang in there and have a lot of fun at the party. I live on Camp Pendleton, California (US Marine Corps). We just moved out here from the East coast, so it is an adjustment. Not a negative one, just a different pace of life. I’m not complaining. Have a great day!

Your house can’t be too bad. People with terribly messy houses take their kids to Chuck E Cheese’s for birthday parties.
A messy house is the sign of a creative mind. I like the close the door option. I’m from sunny and hot Mesa, Arizona. These are the days where we crank the AC, stay inside and play away in the studio.
Good Morning, I live in the Northwest. Pinehurst, Idaho. We are just a few miles from Kellogg, Silver Mountain and the longes gondola live there! Have a Great and creative day!
I’m in Melbourne, Australia and the last thing I do at night is check your blog. You have the ability to put many of my thoughts and feelings into art form so I find looking at your tutes very ….er…cathartic. I go to sleep dreaming that one day I might be able to do the same.
….sigh…in my dreams.
Loving your tutorials from Wichita Falls, Texas and yes, it is VERY HOT and humid here! LOL!

Hey Michelle,
Grandkids are so much fun, I have 5 of them and they keep me busy. I go to there house to visit so I don’t have to clean mine! I love reading your blog daily. Well clean if you must…. sadly I miss your art work today. I am living in Sunny Florida in Inverness. Just a stones throw from Crystal River where the manatees play. We love to canoe there and see the friendly creatures. It stays 70degrees cold there year round in the water because of the nearby springs. Nice on a hot day!

Hi Michelle,
The same good-looking guy was at my house in Milledgeville, GA last week helping me get ready for my daughter-in-law and 3 grandsons to fly in from Korea. They are here for a month. Sadly, their Daddy couldn’t come — Uncle Sam said no.
Love your work - thanks for sharing! I’m from Rosemount, MN - suburb of the twin cities.
I get your emails every day in Madison, Wisconsin. Love them! As one of my stamps says: Housework is such a drag. You mop, you dust, you vacuum, and then three months later you have to do it all over again. (At least that’s MY motto!) I’d rather be stamping! Thanks, Michelle.
Hi! I am from Garner, North Carolina. I get so excited to receive your daily emails….I want to stay home everyday instead of going to work just to try all your techniques!!

I love reading your blog from Elgin Illinois, about an hour NW of Chicago, and am really enjoying reading all of the comments. I am amazed at all of the people from all over the country and world who are loyal fans like me. You are a truly talented woman. Thanks for all of the inspiration.
Good morning, from used to be sunny Northern California. We only seen the sun twice in the last 25 days due to all the smoke from the 2000 fires that have been burning since June 21st. Yesterday was beautiful, so there was hope for total clearing, but today is very smoky again. I don’t know why that happens.
I’m originally from Anaheim, CA (Disneyland), but have lived in Oroville California for the better part of my life.
Anyway, Thanks for the daily (almost ; - ) tutorials. They have helped me immensly in my creativity (which does not come naturally!).

Hello Michelle,
I hate housework with a passion, but when it is done, it makes it worth every minute I spent on it. I also have not been able to stamp or craft for a couple of days. I had items in a living room, a bedroom and a basement. I now have a great room for all my supplies with the exception of a 8 foot x 4 foot peg board that holds all my paper. I have been arranging and organizing my GREAT new room.
I check your blog every single day and sometimes, 2 or 3 times a day. I get your emails when they are sent out.
I am from Denver, Colo. I am married with 3 children (12, 9 & 5 yrs). 2 boys and 1 girl.

Another Ohioan here! I’m in Medina, Ohio… 30 minutes South of Cleveland. Love your creations! You are truly talented. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with everyone!
I live in St. Louis, MO but lived in Youngstown, Cleveland and Cincinnati, OH when I was younger
Not sure exactly where West Alexandria but Ohio is beautiful. BTW, I’d give that guy $50 for cleaning my house!
Good luck cleaning today, Michelle. Know that you are missed but time with family (and a clean house to do so) should trump stamping anyday!
I’m currently reading your blog from Mililani, Hawaii. Originially I’m from Southeast MO (and just spend a month there helping my mom organize her stamping space!). Thanks for all that you do! Aloha, Kim
PS Hau’oli La Hanau (Happy Birthday) to your granddaughter
Your an amazing lady. Love your creations and tutorials. I am from Dresden, Ontario Canada.
Well, I am not originally ‘from’ anywhere!!! My father was in the Air Force and then so was I!!! Working on putting down some roots on the Space Coast of Florida for the past several years!!! Thanks for all you do!!
Love your work and tutorials! I live near Buffalo, NY!
Am a great fan of your artwork. Wish I had such creative ideas. Am going through withdrawal at the moment. Just returned from NY where my mom & sis live. Had them here for 2 wks - loved every min but one is elderly & the other handicapped so no time to stamp. BTW I live in Virginia Beach, VA Have 2 days to play & 2 to clean house before grandson & 2 granddaughters arrive for 3 wks, niece & her friend arrive during that time as well. Will lock myself in my craft room after everyone is gone & try to do something of my own using all your wonderful tutorials. Today & tomorow are dedicated DH days!!!!! Have a great BDay party but remember everyone is there for the fun & togetherness not a house inspection! LOL………………
When you’re done with your house, can you come do mine in Laurel, Maryland?
Hi Michelle!!
I have enjoyed reading all the comments left today…it’s so cool to see where everyone who reads your blog is from! I was born and raised in NE Ohio, specifically, the tiny township of Vienna, near Youngstown. Actually just a township over from Kathy from Cortland! I have been happily transplanted to Florida since 1982.
I have learned so much from your blog! No stamping for me today either….my 5 month old granddaughter is helping me read your blog today!!!
Hugs,
Lynnor
Yeah, housework does bite when you want to play!
Stay in the A/C!!
I am from Mt. Vernon Ohio!
Go Buckeyes!
HI - I am from New Haven, Indiana and I love your blog.
Ahh housework! I have the day off work today and am suppose to be doing housework. I’d rather be stamping.
I am from Kenora, Ontario in Canada.
I have lived in the Akron, OH area most of my life. Wish I could get someone to clean my house for $20. lol
Hi Michelle! Send that cleaning guy to my house when you’re finished with him — I’d gladly pay $20 for a good housecleaning and I don’t live that far from you! I’m in West Harrison, Indiana (just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio). I just recently found your blog and am totally awed by the stamping you do — your creations are beautiful pieces of artwork. Thanks for the tutorials you provide. I hope to find the time soon to attempt some of the tutorials and see what I come up with.
It must be house cleaning day because that is all I have done since I woke up. I am in not so sunny Jacksonville, FL. Its raining today.
I read and enjoy your blog every day. I am from Tulsa, OK!
Hi Michelle - I enjoy your tutorials from a tiny resort village on the lake at Harrison Hot Springs, B.C., Canada. Its been fun seeing where your other fans are from. Thanks so much Michelle, for sharing your talent and inspiration!!
Jenny, I’d love to see your loon pictures……I just took pictures of a Merganzter mom with her sweet babies swimming along beside, then they climbed up on her back….wanna swap?? rayandannw@yahoo.com
Michelle! I read almost every day from Spokane, Washington USA. I don’t bother with feeds…they don’t come fast enough, lol! You are a must-see stop for me while I’m drinking my coffee…appropriate since I don’t know that I could start the day without either one!
Love your tutorials and reading every day in
Concord, California.
How exciting - Australia, The Netherlands ….. that makes your blog pretty international! Me, not so much - Charlotte, North Carolina. But in the little time I’ve been sub’d, I sure have enjoyed reading and learning.
Michelle, I am from a tiny town on the western slope of Colorado. My mailing adress is Austin but I live in Orchard City. Orchard City includes 3 different post offices; Austin, Eckert and Cory. The government hard at work! Kathleen
Michelle I am from New Plymouth, New Zealand.I am new to stamping and very envious of the stamps you have at your disposal. With the exchange rate it makes it just a little out of my price range to order stamps from the states. I am a hobby demo for stampin up though, I has been in New Zealand for 15months.
Needless to say your cards are completely wonderful - your blog is first on the list when the computer is turned on. But in addition to all that - I’ve had a kick reading where everyone is from - WOW. About half way through, I realized it was a lot like a beauty contest - “Hi, I’m Jane Doe from Dallas, TX and I want world peace (so I can have more time to stamp)” LOL - Oh guess I should say “Hi, I’m Elaine from Vancouver, WA”
Thx for all you do - you’ve taught me so much!
Smart lady ! I love the “come clean my house” comeback.
Don’t use up all your energy cleaning house. You need to have the energy to enjoy your grandchild birthday party. There’s nothing so special. And I expect to see the birthday card you create for it ! I know it will be very special.
I look forward to your emails every day to see your wonderful creations. I live in a rural area in Ohio by the Ohio River. My family consists of no children, 1 house dog, 4 wild rabbits living in my yard, 3 squirrels living in my walnut tree, 1-3 deer that come and go through the corn field, 1 wonderful husband who lives on the golf course :D, and lots of birds. Happy House Cleaning to you !!!!! Becky
I live in Hawaii. I would LOVE to see more pictures of your stamping space. You are such and inspiration to all of us. I want to be you when I grow up.
Aloha-
Michelle,
I don’t normally comment much on blogs but I so enjoy your blog. I’m from SF, CA.
Thanks for sharing all your awesome creations with us! You’re the greatest! I know you’re having a class CA, I wish I could attend but have previous engagements. Maybe next time.
WOW, you have readers from ALL over! How cool is that! Even New Zealand! Hey, I noticed a couple of people live in Staples, MN. I was just wondering - do they get free “EASY” buttons?! LOL Sorry, I couldn’t resist that one. I live in Northville, MI which is close to your reader Dawn who lives in Canton. They are both suburbs of Detroit. I have also lived in Stroudsburg PA, Morristown TN, Anderson SC, Hendersonville TN, Madison WI, and Davenport IA. I just felt like saying that since it sounds more exotic than just saying Northville MI. ROFL I say forget the house cleaning - stamping and blog surfing is WAY more fun!
I have been visiting your site for the last month or so and really enjoy your work. I’m from Parksville, B.C. Canada on beautiful Vancouver Island but I’m currently in the Northwest Territories working at a fishing lodge for the summer as the resident massage therapist. And even out here we have web access. Ain’t technology grand.
HI Michelle, Cleaning house is never fun BUT the party for the your grandaughter will ease the pain right??
I love to check out the lastest creation each today. I live in the Mohave Desert in a place many times tagged as the hottest spot in the nation, Needles, Ca. Have a great day!! davi
Hi Michelle,
I’m all the way down-under in New Plymouth, New Zealand too (Hi Judy - she is one of my team). Michelle, I got hooked on you when I lived in the US - love your blog! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into each post - I don’t know how you find the time, but thanks heaps!! Sharlene
Love to ready your blog daily from Waterford Michigan!!!! So much inspiration here!!!!! Thanks for all your hard work!
Man would I love to meet that guy!!!! I’ll start bidding for $25.00 to clean my house!!!! hehe
Love your site. Just a few weeks ago, I moved from just north of Detroit, Michigan to Porter Ranch, California.
Hi Michelle,
I’m a Kiwi (like the new card colour) so that’s why my spelling is strange! I live in Invercargill New Zealand (which I understand is the southernmost city in the world), and visit your blog every day. It’s winter here just now, and where I live, in the south, it only gets up to a maximum of about 10 degress Celcius each day, and maybe down to minus 2 or 3 degrees Celcius over night. We’re in a time zone ahead of most of your other fans - so it’s 7.30 on Friday morning for me as I’m sending this comment your way. I’ve been stamping for quite a few years now, and enjoying learning to stamp ‘the Zindorff way’. Thank you for all your tutorials Michelle, as you can see, there are a lot of us who really appreciate what you do. Happy Birthday to your grand-daughter and enjoy the party.
Anne
I just hate it when work gets in the way of “playing”. I just had one glorious week of vacation in which I stayed home, got up when I wanted to, went to bed when I wanted to and did whatevery I wanted in-between (translate…..creating cards and paper crafting). What fun! I hope you have many days/weeks like the one I just enjoyed.
Teresa - Indianapolis, IN (home town is Kingsport, TN)
Hey Michelle…..thanks for the funny!!! Hope you got your house clean. I’m preparing for my son’s birthday tomorrow….I still haven’t made a card for him!!! I guess I’ll be doing that tonight.
I’m from Virginia Beach and I LOVE checking out your artwork!!! I visit almost every day!!!!! Thanks for sharing your talent with us!
I’m from Joliet, Ill about 35 miles south of Chicago.
Reba
I love that joke! Sounds like a great idea to me!
I’m living in Nova Scotia, Canada right now, but we are very soon packing up and returning to my homeland of New Zealand. After 14 years we are going back…can’t wait!
Our house is for sale now(which is why that joke appealed to me so much!), and once that sells (anyone wanna make an offer?! LOL!), we’ll be off, hopefully no later than September. I have my school reunion to go to at the end of October, so I have to be there for that!
Kia ora to Judy and Sharlene in New Plymouth, and Anne in Invercargill! I’m going to live in Dunedin (next city up from Invercargill). We’ll be neighbours!
Hi Michele,
I am from Sturgis, Mi. a very small town right next to In. line.I have injoyed your art work and great tutorials. Thanks so much! Have fun with family!

Reading from a very hot and humid Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

I am in Melbourne Australia and I never miss your emails
Checking in from St. Peters, Missouri just 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis. Wow, are you popular or what? You attract stampers like bees attract honey. Women from all over the world. See, you really are appreciated. You’re Good! Have a great birthday party for your Granddaughter. I don’t like housecleaning either. I hire it done every other week because I can. When I retire or if gas keeps going up, I guess that will stop. Hugs
Looking at the responses already, you have opened an avalanche inviting us all to respond. I am another fan from Melbourne, Australia. Looks the Aussies could start a fan club themselves.
I’m in Fairview Heights, IL. Just 20 minutes from down town St. Louis, MO. Love seeing everything you do!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who aspires to copy your lovely cards but fails, miserably. It has been fascinating reading these comments from so many places. I come to you from Oswego, NY, across Lake Ontario from Canada. We are famous for our Winter Snow. Thanks for all of your tutorials.

Hi, I’m from Australia and I think I mentioned in my yesterday’s post, that I live on 130 acres with NO visible neighbours = yippee! I love the absolute peace and quiet we have. We used to run sheep but now only have Clydesdale harness horses and Belgians.
I don’t see anyone from one day to the next (other than my husband!) and it can be two weeks before I go into town, which is about 30 minutes away.
We are about 1-1/2 hours from Melbourne.
We see many kangaroos and where we lived before, quite a few wombats and echidnas.
Cheers for now, Valda
Michelle: I live in Surprise, Arizona. Every day I look forward to seeing your email of the day. Your use of color and techniques makes me want to stop everything and try one of your projects. You give so much of yourself in your works of art.
Thanks for sharing all your creative pieces.

Michelle I LOVE receiving each of your wonderful tuts and always amazed how prolific you work with each new card. It’s not at all surprising that you should need a little time out to attend to other things that happen in your life/household too. I’m from Lake Macquarie, N.S.W., Australia. It is indeed interesting to know where each of your commentors/subscribers live. Enjoy your day ….

Hello from Little Rock, Arkansas ….
When I was old enough to share the heavy duty housework chores in my pre-teens and teens .. my Mom and I would write all our chores on pieces of paper and then we would each draw them one at a time. Sort of like a suprise to see what you got! Of course, some chores had to be done before others .. so we would just fold them back up and draw again …
I am now in my late 40’s and to this day I hate housework! As I look across the room .. I see a little pile of folded pieces of paper with chores …. not quite as fun when it is just you do the chores .. but it is a little suprise on what you are going to do next …
Just thought I would share ….
Absolutely LOVE your blog!
Hugs,
Kimberly
Hi Michelle,
After spending all my life in Ohio, for the last four years, Rio Rancho New Mexico is the place I call home. Don’t miss the humidity at all!!! Love your blog, it’s the first thing I check everyday.
