Well I could not believe it, I was in Hobby Lobby and low and behold there they were. Their Christmas Trees were already up and decorated, lol. I guess it got me in the mood, so here is a card suitable for Christmas. Please forgive me. 🙂
Before we get started I want to wave hi to the ladies that will be attending my Stoughton, Wisconsin workshops this weekend. HI LADIES! You have been so very patient waiting for your turn. A number of you have been telling me you have been watching Stoughton, Wisconsin move up the list on my calendar. Thanks for hanging in there. I have some fun projects for you! I will be leaving bright and early tomorrow morning and heading North/West this time. Through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and into Wisconsin. I bet I find a Wooden Duck Decoy or two along the way or maybe some good Cheese. Anyway, I cannot wait to get there.
Enough rambling already Michelle, let’s get started on that tutorial.

Stamped the skaters by loading my stamp with Versamark, then black dye ink before stamping it on a 3″ x 4.75″ piece of Whisper White card stock.
Heat embossed the image using clear embossing powder and a heat gun.
Ignore the post it note for now, lol.
Colored the image with a Real Red Marker.
Colored in his pants with an Always Artichoke marker.
Colored in her shirt with a Creamy Caramel marker.
Colored over the entire image with Versamark and heat embossed it clear embossing powder and a heat gun. Be careful to stay inside the embossed image lines with the Versamark.
Tore a post it note and masked the top portion of the card stock.
Brayered Bashful Blue ink at the top of the unmasked area.
Brayered Not Quite Navy ink at the top of the unmasked area, not covering all of the Bashful Blue ink.
Wiped the ink off of my embossed image with a clean cotton towel.
Removed the post it note mask and brayered Bashful Blue ink at the top of the card stock.
Tore another post it note and used it to create some hills in the snow by sponging Bashful Blue ink at the torn edge of the post it note.
Moved the mask to create a second hill.
Stamped the trees with Black ink.
Punched a circle with a Stampin’ Up 1 3/4″ punch out of Whisper White Card stock.
Sponged Bashful Blue ink at the top of the circle.
Stamped the deer on the circle with Basic Black ink.
Edged the circle, main image panel and Bravo Burgundy panel all with a Metallic Silver Prismacolor Marker.
Ran my Bravo Burgundy Panel through my Big Shot using my Diamond Texture plate. Love these plates they are nice and big.
Assembled my card by adding a Not Quite Navy Panel, silver brads and some white ribbon. Here is the finished card measuring 5.5″ square.
Okay, I got this out of my system and will be back to regular warm weather cards promptly.
May your day be one of sunshine and cool, not cold, breezes.
Until my next post. . . . . . . . . . . .
Huge Hugs,
Michelle
