Pink in Autumn – Tutorial #368

Ahhhhhh, it feels good to get up this morning and stamp something Fall-ish.   I decided to throw caution to the wind though and add the non traditional Pink color, Melon Mambo in my background.  I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it.  I hope you do too.  This tutorial takes you on the journey of emboss resist also.  Give it a try!

Before I start the tutorial however, I want to announce that I have added two new destinations to my Brayer Workshop Calendar.  I will be teaching in Sturgis, South Dakota and Ottumwa, Iowa.  Hope to see and create with some of you there.  🙂  For a complete list of Brayer Workshop locations and dates CLICK HERE.  My very next stop is in Milton, West Virginia.

Now let’s get stamping. . .. . . .

On a 4.5″ square piece of Whisper White card stock, stamped the Leaf image from the Stampin’ Up! set “French Foliage”, Item number 121166, by first loading the stamp with Versamark then with Pumpkin Pie ink before stamping it.  Repeated two more times.

Heat embossed the images using clear embossing powder and a heat gun.

Colored the images in with a Cajun Craze Marker.

Colored over the images using a Versamark Marker and then heat embossed the images using clear embossing powder and a heat gun.

Brayered Melon Mambo ink on the top left corner of the card stock at an angle.

Brayered Cajun Craze ink on the same corner at an angle. Not covering the Melon Mambo ink entirely.

Stamped 3 more leaves using Cajun Craze ink.

Colored the 3 leaves in using a More Mustard marker.

Stamped the spots using Melon Mambo ink.

Added Basic Black marker stems to the embossed images and Crumb Cake marker stems to the un-embossed leaves.

Added Cajun Craze, River Rock and Basic Black card stock panels, Pumpkin Pie ribbon and Basic Black brads.

Added a touch of white gel pen for highlights to some of the tips of the embossed images.

Here is the finished card measuring 5.5″ square.

May you find a moment today to feel the warmth of the sun on your face today.

Until my next post. . . .  . . .

Huge Hugs,

Michelle
