Sweet Valentine – Tutorial #390

Good Morning World!  I have finally crawled my way out of the sick bed and made my way to my office to do a little creating.   One thing that is extremely nice about working from home is, YOU CAN SHOW UP TO WORK LOOKING LIKE COMPLETE HECK!  PJ’s, robe, hair uncombed, you get the picture.  🙂

My very beautiful and sweet Grand Daughter, Hailie Jade was on my mind this morning.  I haven’t created a Valentine for her yet, so here it is.  Hailie is a girlie girl.  That means pink needs to be used in full force.

On a personal note, my oldest Son, Jesse turned 30 today!  Holy Smoke, I’m getting old, lol.    HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSE!  YOU ARE AN AMAZING SON!

Now, let’s get started on that tutortial. . . . . .

On a 4.5″ square piece of Whisper White card stock, brayered Daffodil Delight ink at an angle on one of the corners.

Brayered Tempting Turquoise ink at an angle on the opposite corner.

Brayered a bit of Not Quite Navy ink at an angle on the same corner, not covering the Tempting Turquoise ink entirely.

Punched a few hearts out of Pink Pierouette card stock.  Used the Large and small hearts.  Discarded the medium hearts.

Sponged Melon Mambo ink on the heart edges.  Left the centers un-inked.

Edged the hearts with a Rose Red Marker.  Added a bit of marker to the bottom of each of the large hearts.

Using the bird punch, punched two branches out of Old Olive card stock.

Cut the leaves off of one of them.  This will be the stem for the flower.

Sponged Old Olive ink at the bottom of the card stock and glued the large hearts and stem on the card stock.

Sponged Early Espresso ink at the very bottom of the card stock.

Stamped the tiny hearts from the Stampin’ Up Confetti set using Melon Mambo ink.

Glued small hearts and branch on.

Added Always Artichoke ink to the stem of the flower.

Stamped the “Sweet Valentine” sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Occassions Mini Catalog hostess set “Something to Celebrate” using Early Espresso ink.

Added a Melon Mambo and Always Artichoke panels.

Pierced holes on the top and to the right hand side of the main image panel using the Stampin’ Up Mat Pack and Piercing tool.

Added a button to the middle of the flower.

Added Chantilly Lace ribbon to the middle of the card.

Here is the finished card measuring 5.5″ Square.

May your day be totally SWEET!

Until my next post. . . . .  .

Hugs,

Michelle
