Hailie Jade Style Framed Scrapbook Page – Tutorial #547

Hey There,

It’s my goal this year to get photos out of small frames and get them in scrapbook layouts and into scrapbook page frames.   I love scrapbooks, but it’s great to frame them and get to look at them all the time.

I’m featuring a photo of my darling grand daughter, Hailie Jade in this layout.  She is a pre-teen so I broke away from the pastel colors and worked with red and black.   I also wanted to highlight the dots in her skirt by using polka dotted DSP and a dot stamp.

Check out the tutorial below.

Cut out “Style” using Real Red card stock and the Serif Essentials Dies and the Big Shot Machine.  Also cut out “Hailie Jade” using Basic Black card stock and the Timeless Type Alpha Dies and the Big Shot Machine.

Punch 3 Blossoms from Whisper White card stock, 3 of the large flowers from the Boho Blossoms with Real Red card stock and 3 small Boho Blossom flowers using Basic Black card stock.

Layered the flowers and stamped Basic Black dots on the flowers with the stamp from the French Foliage stamp set.  Sponged Basic Black ink around the edges of the flowers.

Layered a 6″ x 12″ piece of Real Red Polka Dot Parade DSP on top of a 12 x 12 piece of Whisper White card stock.  Smeared Basic Black ink on the Right side of the card stock.

Added a 8.5″ x 11″ piece of Basic Black card stock.  Stamped soft White Stazon Dots on the left side of the Basic Black card stock.

Layered Basic Black card stock and Whisper White card stock.  Stamped Real Red dots on the right side and added Hailie Jade’s name.  Adhered Hailie’s name to the page and layered her photo with Basic Black and Real Red Card stock.   Adhered it to the page using Stampin’ Dimensionals.   Also adhered the top two flowers using Stampin’ Dimensionals and glued the lower one down.

Added the “Style” letters and stems using Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Here is the finished 12″ x 12″ page framed.

Thanks again for a wonderful workshop last Sunday in NC.
Everybody loves the cards and wants to make them too. Guess
