A Little Show and Tell

Hello There,

Today’s post is just a little show and tell time.  This is a Printer’s Tray I decorated this morning, using a botanical theme, for my office.  I seem to have a very bad habit of making wonderful things and never keeping them.  Most of my projects end up in someone else’s home.    Leaving my walls a bit bare.  Anyone else have that problem?   Do you give all your creations away?

Anyhow, I did not do a tutorial on this project.  It was nice just doing something for myself without thinking about taking pictures etc.   Although, when I finished it, I have to admit, I wished I would have shared the step by step for you.

Printer’s trays are a blast to decorate.  I pick a color scheme and stick to it for each block.   This one was Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Certainly Celery and Marina Mist.  I find the tray gets too busy if you don’t have a color scheme in mind when you start.

I wish you could see this in person, there is texture, layers etc. that the camera didn’t pick up.

Here is a shot of each block.   The big butterfly is the Stampin’ Up! stamp Swallowtail.

The top block was done with the Stampin’ Up! set Everything Eleanor and the Butterfly reflection was created with the Stampin’ Up! set Nature walk.

I used the New Honeycomb Embossing folder on this block and the bee from Stampin’ Up! Nature walk set.

I added my monogram stamp to the lower right corner.  Gotta pat yourself on the back every now and then, lol.

Created this bird block using the Stampin’ Up! Nature Walk set and sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! set Feel Goods.

Well I hope you have been inspired to get a printer’s tray and create something beautiful for yourself.  You deserve it!

Until my next post. . . . . .
