Now on with today’s tutorial. . . . .  . .

Project Supplies:

Stamps: Stampin’ Up! Serene Silhouettes (item #127322) and Etruscan Elegance Wheel (item #127868)

Card Stock: Stampin’ Up! Whisper White, Soft Sky, Basic Black and Summer Starfruit

Ink: Stampin’ Up! Soft Sky, Island Indigo, Summer Starfruit, Basic Black and Stazon Jet Black

Accessories: Stampin’ Up!  Sponge, sponge dauber, Regals Candy Dots (new sneak peek), White Gel Pen, Summer Starfruit Marker, Summer Starfruit Satin Stitched Ribbon, Flower Punch, Brayer, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Window Frames Framelits, Big Shot Machine and Post it Note

Start by die cutting the third to largestest Window Frame Framelit out of Whisper White card stock using the Big Shot Machine

Brayered Soft Sky ink at the right and left sides of the card stock meeting the color in the middle.

Brayered Island Indigo ink at the right and left sides of the card stock not covering the Sky Blue ink entirely.

Stamped the Serene Silhouettes Tree using Stazon Jet Black ink.

Sponged Basic Black ink at the bottom of the card stock.

Masked the top rounded portion of the card stock and sponged Soft Sky ink at the post it note edge.

Added a bit of Summer Starfruit marker on the left sides of the leafy area on the tree.

Sponged Summer Starfruit ink just above the Basic Black ground area.

Added White Gel pen highlights in the leafy areas of the trees and the grassy areas.

Cut (2) 2″ x 6.25″ pieces of Soft Sky card stock and Wheeled the Etruscan Elegance Wheel over them using Island Indigo ink.

Adhered the panels on a 5″ x 6.5″ piece of Basic Black and put Summer Starfruit ribbon up the middle of the card stock adhering the ends to the back of the card stock.

Cut a 3.75″ square piece of Summer Starfruit card stock and embossed it using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and the Big Shot Machine.

Added a 4″ square piece of Basic Black card stock and a 2.75″ square piece of Basic Black card stock.  Added the main image panel.

Added small flower punches at the tips of the smallest Basic Black panel.

Added the sneak peek Candy Dots in the center of each flower.  The candy dots will be available in the new Stampin’ UP! catalog starting May 31, 2013.   Woohoo!  Love these.

Attached the panels over the ribbon and large panels using Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up.  Also tied a bit of ribbon to the already attached ribbon in a knot.

Here is the finished card measuring 5″ x 6.5″.

May your day be filled with a Serene scene.

Until my next post. . . . . .

Huge Hugs!

Stampin’ Up’s Color Refresh! I love color and I know that you do too. Color is fundamental to who Stampin’ Up! is and what they offer. It’s important for us to stay up-to-date with color trends so I am thrilled to share Stampin’ Up’s updated line of colors, and hope you will be as excited as I am by the new possibilities!

Why now? In 2010 Stampin’ Up! did a big color renovation and shared their plans for smaller color refreshes every three to five years to keep their colors on trend. Well it has been three years and I am excited to announce that the upcoming 2013-2014 annual catalog will include 10 new colors (most of which are returning In Colors from previous years)! Stampin’ Up! is welcoming back some of your favorites, moving some colors around, and introducing one brand-new color, so take a look!

Beginning on April 4, 2013, all retiring/discontinued color products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last. This means that some products will not be available through the retired list period. Stampin’ Up! did anticipate increased demand and based their forecasts for these retiring colors on historical sales information from previous color transitions. However, even with the most careful planning, the response to a transition of this nature can surprise everyone–including your own personal purchases. We encourage you to get your favorites and look forward to the exciting colors coming in the 2013-2014 annual catalog.
