Hey There,
I took a break from watching these characters to make this reflection card.
It was tough pulling myself away from their antics. They are now 9 days old and getting a few feathers on their wings. I think they have doubled in size, it’s incredible!
I thought I would only torture two of the 6 chicks today with the camera. The one on the left is an Easter Egger. She will eventually lay eggs with either green or blue shells. The chick on the right is a Marans and she will lay eggs with a really dark brown shell. I don’t have names for them yet. Still taking suggestions if you have one. Psst . . . . I better name them fast, my brother in law decided they should be called chicken nuggets!
Enough about the Zindorf flock, my card today was done with the direct to paper method and features the Stampin’ Up! Wetlands stamp set. The complete supply list for this card along with info on how you can get the project tutorial for free is below.

My Latest Mystery Hostess is. . . . Janet Williams!!
So I put everybody’s name in the Mystery Hostess box who placed an order using my last Mystery Hostess code and after much shaking and stirring of the slips I pulled out Janet William’s name.
From the pooled order total Janet was able to receive a whopping $120 in free merchandise.
Be sure to use the Mystery Hostess code when placing your next order. It doesn’t cost you anything to participate. You could be the next Mystery Hostess and get all the free stuff!!
The new Mystery Hostess Code is BPGMFHU6 and this is how it works:
MYSTERY HOSTESS:
With Stampin’ Up!’s announcement of the new Hostess Code, we can now “pool” Online Orders together (place them individually, orders will ship directly to you – within the US only, but use the same hostess code). When smaller orders are put in together, the larger order qualifies for HOSTESS BENEFITS.

Hey there,
I have a quick post for you today. Sorry, no stamping because I have canning to do, darn! No really, it’s a joy for me to be able to can the fruit and veggies that I grow in my garden so we have fresh non-chemical food to eat all year long. It is work though.
Above you can see my canned glazed carrots, yum!
Oh and below you see my Spaghetti Sauce, Sauerkraut and Mock (Zucchini)Pineapple. That was process recently. I’ve also put up pickles, relish and strawberry jam. My food dehydrator has been going to. I’ve dried tomatoes and made spicy cucumber chips. My freezer now holds bags and bags of diced and sliced zucchini, onions and peppers, loaves and loaves of zucchini bread and cookies. Whew it’s been a great growing season and it still keeps coming.
This pressure canner has been my best friend.
No stamping to day because every surface in my kitchen now is covered with fruits and veggies that need dealt with. Tomatoes, Pears, Carrots and Cucumbers, Oh MY!
So with that being said, I best get cracking.
Have an awesome weekend!

Hi There,
Instead of pulling myself away from the chicks today to stamp. . . . . . . . .
Just kidding!
This chick was only in the stamp room for a second so she could approved this card. 🙂 I think she likes it. Really need to name my 6 chicks, but I need to wait until they get some of their adult feathers to really find names that suit them. Any suggestions are welcome.
Today’s project shows how you can get a light colored tree in front of a dark sky with emboss resist. I love this look for Autumn and Spring cards.
