The landscape here is already changing for the Autumn Season. The fields are getting a golden hue and the leaves on the trees are starting to fall already. I believe it is due the dry spell we are having here in Ohio. Whatever the cause, I am ready for it. I know it put me in the mood this morning to create this leaf card using the Stampin’ Up! single stamp Magnificent Maple and embellish it with Burlap ribbon, both of these products can be found in the new Holiday Happiness catalog.

Chick Adventures
So the chicks got to go outside yesterday for the very first time in their 3 week long lives. Here they are huddled together wondering where in the heck they are and what is this green stuff under us.
I knew it wouldn’t be long before the big girls got curious. Here is Sophie checking them out.
Bunny and Buffy come over just a moment later, decided it wasn’t food Sophie found and they all wondered off. No drama so far.
Lucas likes to keep guard, he stayed close by to make sure the chicks were safe.
Now there was one more hen to meet the new chicks. Red was apparently laying when the chicks came outside. I think Red is going to be trouble when I put the chicks in the large coop in three weeks. She got all puffy and tried to peck one of babies. Hopefully, she will get use to them through the fence soon.
Anyway, the chicks eventually started scratching around, chomped on some grass and took a nap.
Mean while the big girls got a sweet corn treat under the Maple Tree. All is good here. 🙂
