On Another Note. . . . .
Goldie has been an amazing momma. We ended up with 3 chicks out of 6 eggs. 1 Barred Rock, 1 Buff Orpington and one Easter Egger. Time will tell if they are hens or roosters. They are now 10 days old and getting bigger by the minute.
But Goldie is such a good momma she providers her little ones with a feathered bed when they want it, lol. Those chicks love laying on her back.
She has been showing the chicks all the secluded areas around the chicken run. Today it was raining a little bit of drizzle but they were out anyway.
On their outing today there was a scary moment when Momma and two chicks were on one side of the chicken run fence and one of the chicks for some reason was on the other. That chick is super fast, let me tell you! I had to catch it and take it out to Momma. I felt like Rocky in the First Rocky film when his trainer had him catch a chicken as part of his training. Pretty sure I didn’t look like Rocky while doing it, lol.
Anyhow I got them all back together and they are all doing great!
