Marble and Silver Autumn – Stampin’ Up! Card

Ever have a project stuck in your head and you just cannot find the right Designer Series paper to use to get the job done. Well, that happened to me this morning. So, I decided to pull out an oldie but goodie technique and created my own background paper. Making your own background paper is so wonderful because you control all the colors that you put into it. Then you don’t have to adjust your project to fit the background paper you make the background paper to fit your design. It’s very freeing.

I decided to get more out of my Flourish Thinlits Dies today by layering them for this great look. The layering of this die gives a look of scroll cut wood when you put it on top of this wood looking direct to paper background. Very elegant indeed!

Whoohoo! There is a new fantastic tree stamp set available now, Stampin’ Up’s Totally Trees, item 142198 and I’m in love! So many different trees that will make so many different scenes.

I used one of the trees to create this Autumn scene. That one Autumn tree really pops against the monotone background trees and sky. What an eye catching card it makes that can be used for a few different occasions. 🙂
