It’s not glamorous and I’m certainly keeping it real by showing you this picture. Quite frequently in the Winter months when I’m hold up in the house my attention turns to my soap making. Soap making can be dangerous so you need to wear protective clothing, gloves and goggles, cute right, lol.
I have lots and lots of little brown bottles of fragrance and colors and super large 5 gallon containers of coconut oil, olive oil and palm oil and many more oils and additives to make my soap special.
Other things are needed, scale measuring cups molds etc. It gets super crazy in my kitchen.
When I get all of this stuff out I pretty much make it an all day event and make many batches of different soaps. On this soap making day I made a total of 20 lbs of the best smelling soap on the planet. The house is filled with fragrance!
After 24 to 48 hours the fun really begins when I get to un-mold the soap and see what I created.
I hand cut all of my soap and check out, the scent, color and the pretty swirls. 🙂
The soap then goes on my stacking racks to cure for 4 weeks. This is to harden the bars to make them long lasting. Yep, it’s quite the process but so fun!
After the 4 weeks is up the soap gets packaged up and ready for sale and use.
So, if you catch me looking crazy in my goggles and gear you know what I’ve been up to. Nothing illegal being cooked up here just my lovely hand crafted soaps.
