About
My hope is you will be inspired during your visit.
My name is Michelle Zindorf and stamping is my passion.
I was born and raised in Dayton, OH. I lived there for 43 years and then moved to a little rural town, West Alexandria. I made the leap in February 2009 to teach Stamping/Brayer workshops for a living. I’ve been married to my husband and best friend, Russ, for 17 years. We are empty nesters now, with two sons, Jesse, 28, and Mitchell, 26, now off on their own. I have one Granddaughter, Hailie Jade, who is the light of my life!
I’ve had no formal art training outside of one watercolor class. Although, I consider myself a Pastel Artist, having sold quite a few paintings of still life and of rural landscapes of my area. But, stamping is my number one craft. I get so much pleasure out of creating something quickly with rubber stamps.
I’m currently on the Innovative Stamp Creation’s Creative Architect Design Team, Split Coast Stamper’s Design Team Alumni (AKA Dirty Dozen) and you can order your Stampin’ Up products from me because I am a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator.
Hi Michelle,
I just wanted to say that your blog has to be, by far, the most beautiful of any of the ones I’ve visited. Your art work, and your cards are an inspiration to do better.
Thank you.
Heather
Welcome to the bloggin world, Michelle! I’m so glad you’ll be sharing your wonderful talent with all of us. Your pastels are magnificent!!!
Michelle I am so glad you did get a blog. I had written to you earlier thinking you had one so now I’m very happy that you do. You inspire me beyond measure. I have discovered a new passion creating these beautiful cards using your techniques. Thank you so much and please keep the tutorials coming. I love them and I love looking at your art work.

Bev
Michelle, Your technique and cards are so artistic, I am completely in awe of your work!
Thank you so much for posting such fabulous details in your tutorials, I have been studying them. I have worked at your brayering technique and I must admit, I seem to have to follow up with alot of sponging but I truly want to get good at this form of expression, I promise to work at it, hopefully someday I’ll be able to put two colors together all by myself. I ALWAYS credit you when I get compliments on the cards I make.
Thank you so much!
I must agree, your cards are some of most beautiful cards I have seen, and I am going to try some of these out as soon as I get some ink :). I am new at stamping, and just beginning to find my style.
Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Michelle,
I am fascinated by your use of color and technique. Keep up the good work. You bring stamping to a higher level.
Hi Michelle: I just sent you an email. I love your blog page. Wow. I love your work, totally awesome.
Michelle: You have the most beautiful cards!!!!! I love your tutorials also; they are very clear and detailed. Love your work!
I just have to tell you that I’ve only just recently discovered your blog… but I INSTANTLY added you to the top of my favorites list! You are such an inspiration and incredible designer. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents! Happy Stampin!
Hello
I found your blog via another blog, just amazing……… I will be a repeat visitor. Thank you so much for sharing. I am off to buy a brayer!!
Best wishes
Jackie
Hi Michelle,
I am thrilled to bits I just found out you have a blog - Hooray!, I love all your stunning Brayered backgrounds.
I’ve just done my first brayered background, following your tutorial on Splitcoast, and my 2nd attempt is way better then my first, my problem was I was inking up the very edge of my brayer, so I kept getting this darn line, but now I’ve figured that out and I just keep blending the colours, I think I am getting there.
Thanks so much!
Lisa
I found your blog as you were listed as an inspiration to Stampin Caz in the UK (I should have been working but my boss was away!). I, like all the others who have commented, am completely blown away by your talent (AND your stock of pens that match inkpads that match papers that match alcohol inks and so on). I will now dig out that brayer that I bought about 12 years ago and never knew what to do with, and with another few purchases will attempt one of your techniques. Thank you so much for taking the time to do your tutorials it has given me hope that I too can make something beautiful!
May
My gosh I found your blog on 2 peas in a bucket and for hours I have sat here and looked at all your work you are a very talented and gifted lady! Thank u for taking the time and sharing each of your wonderful art pieces now when I am able to hold my eyes open come morning (smile) I have to try some of your techniques!!!!
Jen
Hi Michelle: I love your talent and passion. Your work wether it is on canvas or cardstock is a true inspiration. Your finished pieces are very calming and serene. Thank you for sharing. I will visit your blog often as I have put it on my toolbar for inspiration. I am from Toledo, Ohio and now live in Colorado. But my baby sister lived in Dayton at the air force base. So I visited a couple of times, very nice. I wish you luck and success. I have a motto I have written over my entry way into my craft room: My Purpose In Life Is To Be Who I Am. I believe that you have found your purpose and are sharing it with others. God Bless, Diane
I just dicovered your site and your passion really comes across in your work. One could only hope to be able to create something as beautiful ( that will be a long time coming for me). Your tutorials are excellent and you make it look so easy, a sign of a true crafter. So, get that cam up and running–can’t wait for you to do videos and to listen to you explaining “how to”. Please make one of your first ones on brayering–your brayering cards just seem to be “alive”. Thank-you so much for sharing your secrets with us.
May you have a Blessed Mother’s Day.

It is rare that I ever write to someone that has a blog but there is always a first. I just had to tell you how much I enjoy getting your blog emails. You are so inspirational to me - your creativity just astounds me. I just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you put into all your projects and for allowing us all along for the ride!!!

Thanks,

Dear Michelle
I’m from Australia and consider myself a new stamper who can’t get enough. I work fulltime but my mind wants to be at home stamping. I stumbled across your blog through stampin up website and I can’t believe how excited I was to absorb what you do. I have surfed many card making websites but you are truly the most inspiring I have seen. You are imaginative, clear and concise in your tutorials and work magic. I am ashamed to admit this, the first thing I do when I get to work is log onto your blog which happens to be on my favourites. I have forwarded your blog onto some dear friends of mine to help inspire them as they need all the help they can get. Keep up the good work, and thank you for sharing, you are truly a magical person.
Cheers Narelle
Cards are great- tutorials are the best! Thanks for sharing so much.
Hello,
I would have to say that your work is BEAUTIFUL and I wanted to thank you for your tutorials. I have always looked at them but never really tried to do anything till the other day.
I would have to say that I cannot brayer for my life. Do you have a trick or technique for getting a smooth full coverage? By the time I finished I had some spots with more color than others and it looked terriable.
I would really appreciate any help you could provide me with that.
Thank you,
Luisa
Luisa, you will want to check out this link of frequently asked questions:

IT IS SO DIFFICULT FOR ME TO BELIEVE THAT THE BIRD STAMPED ON THE FIRST PAGE IS THE ONE THAT I SAW ON THE CARD! I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE THAT CAN MAKE A CARD COME TO LIFE AS WELL AS YOU DO! IT LOOKS LIKE THE BIRD JUST FLEW INTO THAT TREE AND IS WAITING TO TAKE OFF AGAIN. BEAUTIFUL TUTORIALS AND I LEARN SO MUCH FROM THEM!
have just spent an hour and a half looking at your blog. now I will be late for work but am truly inspired. can hardly wait to get home later this evening and start trying to follow some of the tutorials. You make your cards look like art(because they are) . Once again thank you for sharing your obvious God given talent with some of us(me) who have to copy others who are.
Michelle,
Irecently discovered your blog and wanted to say thanks so much for sharing your creativity. I really like the different techniques you showcase and your tutorials are great. They are easy to follow especially for new stampers. I am a SU hobby demonstrator also to pay for my habit. I started stamping over 15 years ago and am amazed at the changes and trends that are seen now. It is always fun to learn about local talent (I grew up in Northern KY and have lived in Cincinnati for the past 20 years).
Keep On Stampin’!
You are my new idol, inspiration, and mentor! Your work is so beautiful and your tutorials are so precise and informative. I’ve been seeing your work cased on a couple of the groups and when I finally found a link to your blog, I was so very excited. I can’t wait to go home and try your techniques. I don’t want to sound like a stalker or anything, but I’m definitely going to be watching you!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your talent.
I Love all your items. I am a mom of a 2 yr. old boy and have not gotten to try your techniques yet. My mom is in a senoir card class and she got excited when I bought her a brayer. lol You are truely an artist.

Just finished perusing your site and I am awe-inspired. I love watercoloring and have always been intimated by it but I am going to try some of your detailed techniques in your tutorials and see what happens. Thanks for sharing your tutorials. I have seen some of your work on SCS. You are truly talented!!
Pat
Michelle: Would you please email me your address. I made you a thank you card and need an address. It is to thank you for coming to San Jose and sharing your wonderful talent with us. I have been doing the braying thingy since that class and I feel I am getting a handle on it. I do it your way, my way, and just any old way that pops up. I really like the cards I have done so far (three). Variations on your themes cuz I hate to be a copycat. I even tried it on glossy and had good luck. Dye inks can fade on glossy tho so I run them outside and spray them.
Thanks again!
Betty
HI im Rosa from germany, an my english is not very good..

Many and lovely greetings from Rosa
Michelle,
Someone from my cardmaking group online posted your blog link last week and since then I’ve been hooked. I haven’t used my brayer in ages, but with your step by step instructions I feel more confident in making awesome looking cards. I can’t pick out a favorite of yours yet since I’m still going through the pages. I love your recent one with the scarecrow. And the “wanted” one with the horse running is absolutely beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards and how you make them. It makes brayering a lot less intimidating for card makers like me. Keep up the fantastic work and tutorials.
Marq:-D

I stumbled across your work on the SCS website. Your work is absolutely breathtaking! I have always wondered how to get those beautiful “sky” effects and am delighted that you post your tutorials. You’re on my favorites now and I’ll visit often. Too bad I live so far away … would love to attend your workshops! Keep up the good work!
