Hello and welcome to my blog.
My hope is you will be inspired during your visit.
My name is Michelle Zindorf and stamping is my passion.
I was born and raised in Dayton, OH. I lived there for 43 years and then moved to a little rural town, West Alexandria and commute to Dayton each workday. I work as a Finance Assistant for AIDS Resource Center Ohio, a nonprofit organization that assists people infected and affected by HIV. I’ve been married to my husband and best friend, Russ, for 17 years. We are empty nesters now, with two sons, Jesse, 28, and Mitchell, 25, now off on their own. I have one Granddaughter, Hailie Jade, who is the light of my life!
I’ve had no formal art training outside of one watercolor class. Although, I consider myself a Pastel Artist, having sold quite a few paintings of still life and of rural landscapes of my area. But, stamping is my number one craft. I get so much pleasure out of creating something quickly with rubber stamps.
I’m currently on the Innovative Stamp Creation’s Creative Architect Design Team and I’m a Split Coast Stamper’s Design Team Alumni.

Thank you so much for posting such fabulous details in your tutorials, I have been studying them. I have worked at your brayering technique and I must admit, I seem to have to follow up with alot of sponging but I truly want to get good at this form of expression, I promise to work at it, hopefully someday I’ll be able to put two colors together all by myself. I ALWAYS credit you when I get compliments on the cards I make.

I am thrilled to bits I just found out you have a blog - Hooray!, I love all your stunning Brayered backgrounds.
I’ve just done my first brayered background, following your tutorial on Splitcoast, and my 2nd attempt is way better then my first, my problem was I was inking up the very edge of my brayer, so I kept getting this darn line, but now I’ve figured that out and I just keep blending the colours, I think I am getting there.

I found your blog as you were listed as an inspiration to Stampin Caz in the UK (I should have been working but my boss was away!). I, like all the others who have commented, am completely blown away by your talent (AND your stock of pens that match inkpads that match papers that match alcohol inks and so on). I will now dig out that brayer that I bought about 12 years ago and never knew what to do with, and with another few purchases will attempt one of your techniques. Thank you so much for taking the time to do your tutorials it has given me hope that I too can make something beautiful!

I just dicovered your site and your passion really comes across in your work. One could only hope to be able to create something as beautiful ( that will be a long time coming for me). Your tutorials are excellent and you make it look so easy, a sign of a true crafter. So, get that cam up and running–can’t wait for you to do videos and to listen to you explaining “how to”. Please make one of your first ones on brayering–your brayering cards just seem to be “alive”. Thank-you so much for sharing your secrets with us.

I’m from Australia and consider myself a new stamper who can’t get enough. I work fulltime but my mind wants to be at home stamping. I stumbled across your blog through stampin up website and I can’t believe how excited I was to absorb what you do. I have surfed many card making websites but you are truly the most inspiring I have seen. You are imaginative, clear and concise in your tutorials and work magic. I am ashamed to admit this, the first thing I do when I get to work is log onto your blog which happens to be on my favourites. I have forwarded your blog onto some dear friends of mine to help inspire them as they need all the help they can get. I would have to say that your work is BEAUTIFUL and I wanted to thank you for your tutorials. I have always looked at them but never really tried to do anything till the other day.
I would have to say that I cannot brayer for my life. Do you have a trick or technique for getting a smooth full coverage? By the time I finished I had some spots with more color than others and it looked terriable.
I would really appreciate any help you could provide me with that.

IT IS SO DIFFICULT FOR ME TO BELIEVE THAT THE BIRD STAMPED ON THE FIRST PAGE IS THE ONE THAT I SAW ON THE CARD! I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE THAT CAN MAKE A CARD COME TO LIFE AS WELL AS YOU DO! IT LOOKS LIKE THE BIRD JUST FLEW INTO THAT TREE AND IS WAITING TO TAKE OFF AGAIN. BEAUTIFUL TUTORIALS AND I LEARN SO MUCH FROM THEM!

Irecently discovered your blog and wanted to say thanks so much for sharing your creativity. I really like the different techniques you showcase and your tutorials are great. They are easy to follow especially for new stampers. I am a SU hobby demonstrator also to pay for my habit. I started stamping over 15 years ago and am amazed at the changes and trends that are seen now. It is always fun to learn about local talent (I grew up in Northern KY and have lived in Cincinnati for the past 20 years).

Michelle: Would you please email me your address. I made you a thank you card and need an address. It is to thank you for coming to San Jose and sharing your wonderful talent with us. I have been doing the braying thingy since that class and I feel I am getting a handle on it. I do it your way, my way, and just any old way that pops up. I really like the cards I have done so far (three). Variations on your themes cuz I hate to be a copycat. I even tried it on glossy and had good luck. Dye inks can fade on glossy tho so I run them outside and spray them.

Someone from my cardmaking group online posted your blog link last week and since then I’ve been hooked. I haven’t used my brayer in ages, but with your step by step instructions I feel more confident in making awesome looking cards. I can’t pick out a favorite of yours yet since I’m still going through the pages. I love your recent one with the scarecrow. And the “wanted” one with the horse running is absolutely beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards and how you make them. It makes brayering a lot less intimidating for card makers like me. Keep up the fantastic work and tutorials.
