Project Supplies:

Stamps: Stampin’ Up! Kind & Cozy (item #129126)

Card Stock: Stampin’ Up! Whisper White, Soft Sky, Island Indigo and Gingham Garden DSP

Ink: Stampin’ Up! Crushed Curry, Island Indigo, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze

Accessories: Stampin’ Up!  Sponges, 2 1/2″ circle punch, 1″ circle punch, Brayer, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Pear Pizzazz & Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Markers, Post it note, Delicate Doilies Sizzlit, Circles Collection Framelits and Big Shot Machine

Started by using the 4th to the largest Sizzlet Circle from the Circles Collection and cut out a circle from Whisper White card stock.

Brayered Crushed Curry on the circle.

Masked the sun using a 1″ circle punched from the sticky part of a post it note.

Brayered Cajun Craze at the top of the circle.

Removed the mask and stamped the coffee cup with Island Indigo ink.

Colored the leaves with Pear Pizzazz and flower with Pumpkin Pie.

Masked the top of the circle and sponged Soft Suede ink in on the unmasked area to create a table for the cup to sit on.

Stamped the Gingham circle on Whisper White card stock using Island Indigo ink.  Punched the circle out using a 2.5″ circle punch.

Adhered the main image circle to the middle of the Gingham circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Cut a 5″ x 6.5″ Island Indigo panel, 4.75″ x 6.25″ Soft Sky panel and a 4.25″ x 5.75″ Gingham Garden DSP panel.   Sponged Island Indigo ink on the edges of the DSP panel.

Stamped the flowers at the top and bottom of the panel using Crushed Curry ink.

Cut a 3.5″ square out of Island Indigo.  Cut it in half.

Stamped the flowers on the long edges using Island Indigo ink and then sponged the edges using Island Indigo ink.  Also sponged the edges of the Gingham circle.

Die cut the Doilie using the Big Shot Machine and Island Indigo card stock.

Assembled the card, adding a 6.5″ x 10″ card base folded in half, 1/2″ x 5″ Gingham Garden DSP strip and then applied Crystal Effects to the coffee cup to give it some shine and depth.

Here is the finished card measuring 5″ x 6.5″.

May your day be one in a million.

Until my next post. . . . . .

Huge Hugs!

Simple Canning Labels – Stampin’ Up! Tutorial #622

Hey There,

My garden is in full swing and it’s CANNING TIME!  I love putting up beautiful jars of home grown food.

Yesterday, I canned 8 jars of zucchini relish, 12 jars of bread and Butter pickles and started my sauerkraut (which has to ferment for a few weeks).

The new Stampin’ Up! stamp set, Kind and Cozy and matching Gingham wheel will make my finishing touches on my canned goods super simple to do and they will look oh so cute.  Check out below just how simple it is to make cute labels and belly bands for your jars.  Keep in mind the jars can hold whatever you want, even stamping supplies!

**************************************************

Now on with today’s tutorial. . . . .  . .

Project Supplies:

Stamps: Stampin’ Up! Kind & Cozy (item #129126) and Gingham Wheel (item #130110)

Card Stock: Stampin’ Up! Whisper White

Ink: Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette and Stazon Jet Black

Accessories: Stampin’ Up!  2 1/2″ Circle Punch (item 120906), Decorative Label (item 120907) and Sticky Strip ( item 124294), printer for label title

Stamped the Gingham circle on Whisper White card stock using Cherry Cobbler ink.

Stamped the words “made with love” using Stazon Jet Black ink.

Stamped the heart using Cherry Cobbler ink.

Stamped the flowers using Pink Pirouette ink.

Punched the circles out using the 2 1/5″ circle punch.

Printed the text out for my label on Whisper White card stock and then punched them out using the Decorative Label Punch.

Cut Strips of Whisper White card stock and then rolled the Gingham wheel on the strips using Cherry Cobbler ink.  I then cut the edges off of the strips to straighten things up a bit.  I can never wheel straight, lol.

Also wheeled the Gingham wheel on the top and bottom edges of the label using Cherry Cobbler ink.

Here is the put together jars.  Again, this was super simple and fast.  Now that I have my design down for this years labels I will do the same design only in different colors.  So next I’ll do my canned bread and butter pickle jars only in Old Olive.  I plan on using the same design so when I gift a basket of home made items they will coordinate.

May your day be a total delight.

Until my next post. . . . . .

Huge Hugs!

Kind & Cozy 1 – Stampin’ Up! Tutorial #621

Hey There,

I have a little window scene for you today.   I started out by using the super cute Kind & Cozy set, but ended up combining two other sets with it to build this scene.

I was asked the other day how I start a project.  I start my projects by picking a stamp set and then my main image stamp.  I then build a scene around it.   My main image stamp is the coffee cup here.

Another question I’m asked a lot is “do  I  practice my projects before doing a tutorial”?    No, what you see on my tutorials is a step by step break down of my first time making the project.  That’s why you may wonder sometimes, as you are looking at a tutorial, why I did things in the order that I did them.  You are seeing my thought process and sometimes I don’t think to add something when I first start the project, but come up with the idea as I’m building the project.  It’s a crazy kind of mind you are dealing with here, lol.   I just go for it!

Anyhow, I hope you like this project and give it a try.  The step by step tutorial is below.

Now on with today’s tutorial. . . . .  . .

Project Supplies:

Stamps: Stampin’ Up! Kind & Cozy (item #129126), Gorgeous Grunge (item #130517), Thoughts & Prayers (item #113252) and Gingham Wheel (item #130110)

Card Stock: Stampin’ Up! Whisper White, Soft Sky and Early Espresso

Accessories: Stampin’ Up!  Sponges, Stampin’ Write Markers (Sahara Sand, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie), 1″ Circle Punch, post it note, Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon and Brayer

Started with a 3″ x 2.5″ piece of Whisper White card stock and brayered Crushed Curry ink at the top of the card stock.

Punched a partcal circle using a post it note and 1″ circle punch.

Masked the sun.

Brayered Pumpkin Pie ink and then Cajun Craze ink.

Removed the Sun mask.  Sponged Old Olive ink at the bottom of the card stock.

Stamped the Thoughts and Prayers Tree using Stazon Jet Black ink.

Sponged Basic Black ink at the bottom of the card stock and then added a 3.25″ x 2.75″ Whisper White panel.

Cut a 5 1/8″ square piece of Soft Sky card stock.  Rolled the Gingham Wheel across the bottom using Island Indigo ink.

Stamped the Kind & Cozy coffee cup using Early Espresso ink.

Sponge Island Indigo ink around the edges.

Colored the leaves and flower with Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie marker.  Went over the steam lines using the Sahara Sand marker.

Added texture to the wall using the stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge set and Soft Sky ink.

Adhered the window and added a line of Sahara Sand marker below the window and to the right side of the window.  This gives it some depth.

Added Early Espresso Ribbon, Soft Sky panel and Early Espresso panel.  I also added a Whisper White card base.

Here is the finished project measuring 5.5″ square.
