Coffee Wake Up – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello There,
I’m all about this coffee card today.  I stayed up way to late last night so, I needed lots of coffee this morning to get me moving.  Funny how I tend to stamp for the things happening in my life at that moment, but that’s how it is.  My minds a scary place to be, lol.
This would be the perfect card to tuck a Starbuck’s gift card into for the coffee lover on your gift list.  Believe me, they will appreciate it.  Hint, hint ya all.  Just kidding!
Okay, the main image for this card is from the Stampin’ Up! set Perfect Blend.  I think that is the cutest name for a coffee set.  🙂
You can find the complete supply list and how to the get the tutorial for this project free or by purchase below.

Perfect Blend – Stampin’ Up! Card Tutorial #628

Hey There,

I’m moving slowwwwww this morning.  Yesterday I did a bunch of heavy lifting and I’m paying for it today, grrrrr.   It was wishful thinking that my coffee this morning would motivate me.  All I feel like doing is hang out and stamp.  Hey wait a minute, that’s all I ever want to do, lol.

Anyway, I put together this coffee themed card tutorial for you.  It features a few Stampin’ Up! sets, Lovely Romance, Perfect Blend and Woodgrain.  Check out my tutorial below.

Now on with today’s tutorial. . . . .  . .
Project Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin’ Up! Lovely Romance (130267), Perfect Blend (131392), Woodgrain (128763) and Alhambra (126940)
Card Stock: Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla, Island Indigo and Early Espresso
Ink: Stampin’ Up! Island Indigo, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Marina Mist and Stazon Jet Black
Accessories: Stampin’ Up!  Sponges, Stampin’ Write Marker – Sahara Sand, Neutrals Candy Dots, Stampin’ Dimensions, Word Window Punch

Started with a 4.5″ square piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Stamped the Woodgrain stamp across the bottom of the card stock using Stazon Jet Black.

Masked the top of the card stock with a post it note and sponged Soft Suede ink over the woodgrain image.

Sponged Early Espresso ink at the post it note edge.

Masked the Bottom of the card stock using a post it note and sponged Marina Mist ink in the unmasked area to create the back wall.

Sponged Island Indigo ink at the bottom of the Marina Mist area.

Wheeled the Alhambra wheel over the Marina Mist area using Marina Mist ink.

Stamped the coffee cup with Stazon Jet Black on a scrap of Very Vanilla and Early Espresso.  Cut out the whole image on the Early Espresso card stock and just the lid and the label on the Very Vanilla card stock.

Stamped the design stamp from the Lovely Romance stamp set using Marina Mist ink across the label piece.

Stamped the Sentiment on Very Vanilla Card stock using Early Espresso ink.

Cut the label out.  Sponged Marina Mist ink on the label and then Early Espresso around the edges.

Figured out where I wanted to put my cup in the scene and then sponged in a shadow for the cut and sponged around the edges using Early Espresso ink.

Added Island Indigo and Early Espesso card stock panels.   Popped up the label using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added Early Espresso Candy Dots on the label.

Punched 2 Word Window Punches from Early Espresso card stock and cut the rounded end off one end.

Added Soft Suede Candy Dots and pierced holes in the word window punches.

Here is the finished card measuring 5.5″ square.

Before I close today, this is what I was working on yesterday.

The girls got a new home.  They went from this small coop to this barn with a chicken run that doubled in size.

My day yesterday was spent securing the run by adding additional fencing on the sides of the run to keep the raccoons from grabbing the girls through the fence and the top of the run to keep the hawks out.   They also have some new logs to hang out on in the run.  Boy oh boy are those logs are heavy!  But the girls will love them.  Sorry, that blur in the foreground is Red off to chase a bug.

Sophie is my brave girl.  She hopped right up on the logs.  But the rest of the girls have to check out every inch of the base of the logs before they attempt it.

The additional space for the hens is necessary since I have 6 new chicks arriving on the 19th.  I can’t wait!

May you have new toys to play with today.

Until my next post. . . . . .
Huge Hugs!
