Travel Pics 2009
Portland, Michigan – My last trip in 2009
Thank you so much Hilda Ryerse for sending these first two photos to me. I had the best time in Portland. My Hostess Kathy was such a great host she showed me around town. I think Portland, MI is a town that will go on my short list of places I would love to live.
I took a blue million scenic photos which I need to edit and load here. Portland is such a cute, cute little town. The first morning, I learned a big lesson, I decided to take a walk by the river and take some photos before my first workshop began. 15 minutes before my workshops were to begin I decided to turn around on my walk and head to the workshop location. Well passing me on the trail was a man with the most beautiful Labrador. You know I had to stop and pet him. He greeted me also, by jumping right up on my white shirt with his muddy paws, lol. That will teach me. Really, it won’t teach me anything. I have a very hard time not petting pups as they go by.
A few of my photos taken along my morning walks. It is hard not to be inspired by such beauty. ![]()
Kathy showed me around town on Saturday evening. I was very fortunate to be there the night the town did their annual Christmas Tree lighting and window display contest. It was tough sipping hot chocolate and shopping the wonderful little shops on main street, NOT!
